Editor’s Note: Ran into some serious problems with the audio quality of the phone interview in this episode, so apologies in advance gang! Still deciding if I want to leave this episode online, but I’ll have to give it another listen or two.
I first heard of Paul Thompson during an interview last year with David Lanz and Gary Stroutsos, and ever since then we’ve been trying to coordinate schedules to get Paul on the show. He’s a warm, friendly soul who possesses the talent of a master flute-maker. In this interview, he talks about how he got into the business of crafting custom flutes, his collaboration with Gary Stroutsos on “Echoes of Canyon de Chelly”, and hints at some future projects. Enjoy!
