Hello… anybody there? Yup – still alive and kickin’ here at Radio Mystic – thanks for all the emails and messages on our Facebook page, gang. I know our 2016 podcast releases have been, um, SPARSE to say the least!
Ever since the demise of our streaming stations it’s been kinda quiet here in the New Mexico desert. What the hell have I been up to? I’ve taken a few months and hibernated in some of my favorite thinking spaces: the empty garage at work in downtown ABQ, for one. Sitting in the corner at night, taking in the ambiance and contemplating the future. I know. Sounds dark and dreary, just the way I like it!

I’ve taken time to nurture and grow some of my other businesses, and been doing tons of voiceover work, mostly. It’s kinda cool being able to get up in the morning, connect the coffee-IV drip and talk into a microphone for a living! Radio commercials, corporate training videos, animated projects… I’ve lent my voice to quite a few interesting things lately!
I’ve also been co-producing a few upcoming music releases: helping design album covers and promotional materials, massaging music tracks, that sort of thing. I’ll get more details on those projects here on the website very soon.
People are asking if we have any plans to re-launch our streaming internet stations, and the answer right now is no. I’ve checked out quite a few services over the past several months, and to be honest none of them could provide the services we need at a reasonable price. In fact, a couple of those services are now having to block non-U.S. listeners due to the Copyright Royalty rulings that affected our former provider Live365. No news on that front, so for now we’re continuing to move forward.
More importantly where Radio Mystic is concerned, I’m gearing up to have our website re-designed and re-launched this summer – long time comin’ I know. We’ll also be starting up a quarterly newsletter to feature some of our artists and music releases, plus give away some music and other gear from the radio ranch.
…and PODCASTS! I’m just about ready to ramp up podcast production again. Our three biggies: X3 Ambient, Atmospheres & Radio Mystic are still kickin’ – and they’ll all have new episodes for you in the coming weeks.
